Another legend is gone…

Yes that is true, another legendary photographic name is now consigned to the history books..

Bowens,  the studio lighting company that produced some amazing lighting systems for studio, and on site portrait/product photographers has been shuttered by its investment group a little more than 1 year after they purchased it, thus ending 94 years in the photographic industry…..

    Sad but true. And if the rumors are to be believed Ricoh could be doing the same thing soon with Pentax!?
    The price of progress isn’t always positive….

    • I hope those rumors are not true, but then unlike the investment company who bought Bowens, at least Ricoh have a history in the industry and value the Pentax brand name somewhat more, which is why they have kept it alive so long since they took it over. Plus the K-1, K-P and 645Z have done wonders for them
